Love for learning

Inquiry based learning rooted in real life
At Harmonia Green School, we offer a personalized, child centred curriculum grounded in well-established educational research and best practice. Our approach draws inspiration from internationally recognized frameworks such as the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), Montessori, Steiner, Reggio Emilia and Forest School. These influences are thoughtfully integrated to create a developmentally appropriate, dual language (Italian–English) learning environment. Through project-based inquiry, nature experiences, storytelling, movement and individualised support, children engage deeply with academic learning while also developing creativity, emotional awareness and social skills.Because learning at Harmonia is rich, meaningful and well balanced within the school day, we do not assign traditional homework.

Honouring curiosity, rhythm and growth
HARMONIA GREEN SCHOOL
We honour each child’s unique rhythm of growth through deep observation, attentive listening and joyful responsiveness. We see children as whole beings, guided by curiosity, play and connection. Documentation through photos, notes, artwork and learning stories allows their learning to be remembered, revisited and shared as living narratives rather than reports. Above all, our intention is for every child to feel truly seen, valued and supported in harmony with themselves, community and nature.
Emotional, Social & Practical Skills
At Harmonia, social, emotional and practical skills develop naturally through daily life in a respectful, well prepared learning environment. Through meaningful participation in the school community, children develop:
EMOTIONAL & SOCIAL SKILLS

Dual Language program
HARMONIA GREEN SCHOOL
We offer a dual language programme that supports successful transitions into any school system worldwide and in Italy. English and Italian are integrated throughout the day, both languages are valued, practised and developed across a range of experiences. Languages are woven into daily activities, projects and lessons. Children may explore art in Italian one day and science in English the next, creating a balanced bilingual environment. In our dual language program, children will develop literacy in both Italian and English. All learning activities are carefully balanced between the two languages to support strong bilingual development. The program is led by a mother-tongue Italian teacher and a mother-tongue English teacher, ensuring authentic language exposure and culturally rich learning experiences. Students will also engage in a wide range of storytelling, reading, and writing projects, all offered in both Italian and English to expand their opportunities for expression and learning.
